Would you consider Renting a
Pet?
What if food and vet care was
included? There are many
people who may love pets,
but there is uncertainty in their lives,
and thus, adopting a pet is not a good option. After
all, pet adoption is forever... and for some people,
it is not a good time to make that commitment. Very
well... but what if you could RENT a Pet? No
long term contract... Food
and Vet care is included... Would
you then consider "renting" a Pet under these circumstances? OK...
Great! Only one small
problem... we don't know of any "pet rental" businesses. But
we do know of MANY Animal Rescue Groups
who are looking for people to "Foster" pets. When
you "Foster" a pet, they live temporarily at your house,
while a permanent home is located. While
they live with you, you can play with them, walk them,
teach them tricks, hang out on the couch with them...
all those things that you would do if they were YOUR pet. Often,
the rescue group will supply food and any vet care the pet needs. How
cool is that? All the fun
of having a pet... with no long term commitment! If
you are not in the position to Adopt a Pet...
but you LOVE Pets and never thought about Fostering as an option...
