Second Chance Rescue specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals. They are a no-kill shelter; no animal will be euthanized for lack of space, and they do not discriminate on the basis of health, age or breed. Their animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes. Second Chance Rescue believes educating the community and stressing the importance of spaying and neutering are the best ways to raise awareness of the plight of homeless animals.
