Featured Humane Society: Humane Society of West Texas
The Humane Society of West Texas is an all-volunteer
rescue group located in Lubbock, TX. HSWT rescues all breeds of dogs and cats,
which are housed with fosters until their adoptions. They hold weekly adoption
events Saturday and Sunday from 12-6 at the Lubbock Petsmart on Slide Road and
the Loop. They also have various special events throughout the year. HSWT relies
on donations to save homeless pets and does 15 to 20 adoptions each week. They
also run a trap/neuter/release program for feral cat colonies in the area.
